Paper Pumpkin 'Hugs from Shelli'

The lovely paper pumpkin kit arrived this week - an all inclusive kit with everything you need to make 12 beautiful notecards and co-ordinating envelopes, for just £20 (but only while stocks last).  It would make a great present for someone who likes craft but is not already a card maker, as it contains all you need - it would also be great for taking on holiday if you can't bear to be without something to craft!!

Craft Taster Day

Last Saturday a local WI group held a craft taster day where the ladies could try out a variety of different crafts.  I had a group who tried out card making and papercrafts and we made a total of 5 cards and a little Easter treat box.  We used a variety of different techniques and everyone went home pleased with their days work!

Male Birthdays

The theme for this months card-making class was those tricky male birthday cards.  At least we have some new options with the Geared-Up Garage suite and the Best Catch bundle.  Three of the cards used the Geared up garage and the Z-fold one used the Best Catch set together with stamps from Lovely As A Tree and High Tide.

Sympathy and thinking of you cards

This month's class had to be postponed from last Friday until this morning as we had too much snow last week for travelling safely.  We were using a couple of the free SAB stamps (Lasting Lily and Lovely Lattice) and the Forever Lovely and Tea Together stamps from the Spring/Summer catalogue to make sympathy cards and 'thinking of you' type cards. 

Next month's class is planned for Friday 1st March and the theme will be male birthday cards, using the 'Geared up Garage' and 'Best Catch' stamp sets.

Sweet little something

Two cards we made at this afternoon's class using the 'Sweet little something' stampset from the new Spring/Summer catalogue. (Message me for a free copy of the catalogue and the Sale-a-bration leaflets). The first one uses powder pink card and DSP with the 'cable knit' embossing folder. The second one is made using 'so saffron' and 'smokey slate' DSP and card, and the banner punch.
