I was asked to make an 80th Birthday card with primroses on it (for a lady called Primrose) so I used the pansy punch as it was the closest shape to primroses! On my desk you will also see my little notebook where I'm making my list for the NEC on Friday. I only found out last time that you can actually get the entrance tickets for free using Tesco vouchers - I had noticed other people ahead of me in the queue had tickets that said Tesco on the top so I looked it up and found you can get them for £3 of vouchers. I'm really looking forward to it this time as your ticket also gets you in to the cake decorating show in the hall next door!! Visit the other desks this week at Julia's desk HERE.
That's a beautiful card. Have fun at the NEC ( great way t get tickets too!)

Oh, that's such a pretty card - perfect for a Primrose! And fab news that you got your ticket through the vouchers - it's like it was for free so even more enjoyable!

That's a lovely card, Bernice. Well done. Have a fantastic time at the NEC on Friday. We aren't going this year - went to Event City, Manchester instead as it is so much smaller for John to cope on his scooter or in the wheelchair. Teehee - also went off to York last week - another much smaller venue for John.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Hi Berenice, I do hope you enjoy the NEC show. have you been to thi one before? If not, it is much smaller than the November one, but still good. Great that you get into the cake one as well, and a very useful bit of info about the Tesco vouchers, I'll be looking at that in November. Have a great week, Hugs Shaz #19xxx
ReplyDeleteWOW, I didn't know you could use Tesco vouchers - I'll remember that for next time!!
ReplyDeleteLove the card - I should think Primrose will be very happy to receive such a pretty card!

ReplyDeleteNow that is a good Tesco deal! Have fun Bernice, but take cash. When the cash has gone, go home!! Genuinely idea to use the pansy punch, a case of necessity being the mother of invention..and it is a lovely card. You weren't asking it for my Mum by any chance? Her real name is Primrose but she goes by Penny. She's 80 this month too; by coincidence!
ReplyDeleteWow - I would think Primrose is quite an unusual name so it must be a quite a coincidence to have two of them turning 80 this month! I'm afraid I didn't follow your advice - when the cash had gone I used the plastic !! - well my flight didn't leave until 7 so I had to stay to the end!!
DeleteBeautiful card Bernice! Lucky duck going to the NEC ... every year I say I'm saving my crafty pennies to go but haven't quite managed it yet ;) Bargain with the Tesco vouchers!
