Card making class

I almost forgot to show the photos of my class hard at work this morning!

Fathers Day / Male Birthday cards

These are the cards we made at the latest class this morning.  The tractor from the stamp set 'Harvest Blessings' was used for the first card - this set is on the retired list so will no longer be available after the end of this month.  The image was water coloured using Marina Mist, Midnight Muse, Smokey Slate and Old Olive Stampin' Write markers and a water brush.  The cardstock used was Naturals White, Midnight Muse (retiring), and Marina Mist. The Natural Trim is also retiring.

The next card was made using the World Map background stamp and the anchor from the 'Open Sea' stamp set.  The map was lightly sponged with Summer Starfruit and Midnight Muse ink.  The banner punch and stamp set were free gifts during Salebration but will be returning in the new annual catalogue. The thick twine in Summer Starfruit was also a Salebration gift, but there will be other colours of this thicker twine available soon also.

The garden shed card was made using the Hardwood background stamp and the cupcake punch for the clouds.  The background card is Soft Sky and the grass made from Gumball Green (retired).  The leaves were made using the Bird punch and the red flower, using the itty bitty punch pack (retiring).  I didn't have the 1" square punch so used the postage stamp shaped one (but the other one has now been ordered!).  I think I may need to make a few more of these in more girly designs with lots of flowers and pots!

The final card was made using more of the stamps from the Open Sea set.  The ship and compass was stamped in Early Espresso onto Crumb Cake card.  We used the White Chalk marker to colour the sails and the Gold marker to colour around the edge of the compass. This panel was layered onto Island Indigo card.  The old ledger was stamped onto Naturals Ivory card and then torn and inked around the edges. Island Indigo bakers twine (retiring) was threaded through a Naturals button (retiring).

This weeks challenge on CCT is So Macho - so I think all of these could be entered there.
