More Butterflies!

Here are the items we made at the June cardmaking class - again using the Butterfly Basics stamps and dies and paper from the new Bohemian DSP pack. .  The wee bag was made following the tutorial found here http://www.craftyhallett.co.uk/bag-in-a-box-handbag/  We matched it up with Rich Razzleberry card and the brads from the Antique Brads set.  The mini cards are cut from Rich Razzleberry and Very Vanilla card - I couldn't believe it when I went to take a photo, one of my cards was missing (someone had taken it home by mistake) and I had absolutely no Very Vanilla card left - so I had to wait until my next order was delivered and make another one to complete the set!
The tent card was made using the idea from Ruth's video tutorial on A Passion for crafts Facebook page. The other card was a straightforward one to get everybody started off - and to use some of the lovely new lace trim. Again, all the paper came from the Bohemian DSP pack.

Butterfly basics

I've been trying out the 'Butterfly Basics' stamps and die set - I used 'Blushing Bride' for the pink, 'Elegant Eggplant' for the purple and my favourite of the new colours 'Mint Macaron.'

WOYWW 314

Well I have actually had a bit of a tidy up and can now show you the top of the desk and the clear space at the left hand side! The 'stuff' at the right-hand side is essential and needs to be easily accessible (well, most of it anyhow!).  The reason I have been able to clear some space is that I had a birthday and for my present I got the storage carousel for my ink pads - this means I can store my punches all in my work desk and even have some space left for a few more! You will notice I have lots of spaces for more ink pads in my new carousel as well :-) I have been trying out the new 'Mint Macaron' card and lacy ribbon - another favourite colour I think - it matches my colour scheme (and my Cuttlebug) perfectly!
The little 'Rich Razzleberry' bag with the butterfly on the left of my second desk was made following a tutorial HERE for my class last Friday.  We also made 4 cards to put inside it, but mine only contains 3 now as one of the ladies took one of my sample ones home by mistake :-( and I have run out of cream card to make another one.  To visit everyone else this week, visit Julia HERE.

Using the brayer

Recently I watched a video tutorial by Lilian Withers and realised where I was going wrong with my brayering technique! So I decided to have another go and made these cards.  I think I need a bit more practice - but they are much better than any previous attempts!
